Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Disturbing visuals have surfaced from the Karola area in Howrah's Andul where three members of a family faced utter humiliation for an alleged wrongdoing of their daughter. According to reports, a poor family, residing in Korola was forcibly taken to a local factory. This happened after the daughter of the family allegedly stole cash and jewelry worth lakhs from a house where she was working as a maid.
According to reports, the girl was working in the house as a maid for six months. However, she ran away and got married. Following this, the owner of the house accused her of stealing from him. Later, some people came to the girl's family and asked them to return the money. After some time, they captured the girl's parents and brother and took them to a local factory where the family was imprisoned.
The atrocity didn't end there as the family members' heads were shaven in public view and they were threatened to leave the area. The frightened family has left their home and moved to a relative's house in Liluah's Jagdishpur.
After receiving the complaint, police launched an investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, one accused has been arrested while three others are absconding.
